Is Centre Laundry really a coin-less laundromat?
Yes! All of our machines work with a laundry card – you don’t need to bring quarters. You can use cash or credit cards.
How do I get a new laundry card?
You can get a new laundry card for $2 either using cash or credit card. If you plan to use cash, you will need $2 in exact change to get the card (please see the attendant if you need to have a larger bill changed). The card will have a $0 balance when you first get it – you can add money to the card as needed.
And remember that when you deposit $20 in cash onto your laundry card, we will give you an additional $2 for free!
How do I add money to the card?
You can add money to your card using cash or credit cards at the VTMs (Value Transfer Machines). We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Is my laundry card reusable/ re-loadable?
Yes, the card will hold any unused balance for future visits.
What is the last wash time at Centre Laundry?
The posted time for starting the last wash is 9PM- this typically allows enough time for our customers to finish washing, drying and folding their clothes by 10:00 PM.
Why is a front load washer often a better choice for doing laundry?
Top load washers have a smaller capacity and are less efficient. Front washers provide a better wash and are gentler on your clothes due to their tumbling action. They also need less soap (for example, a double load front load washer will need about 1 load’s worth of soap).
